Terms and Conditions

Deposit & Payment Policy
Clients have the option to pay in full at time of booking, or pay a non-refundable deposit of €700.00 per person. If only a deposit is paid, clients will be required to place a credit card on file that will be automatically charged for the remaining balance due 90-days prior to departure date. There is no discount for payment in full. For The Story Vacations accepts Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express, and bank transfer for payment. Processing fees are not included and will be added upon booking. For The Story Vacations does not accept personal checks or cashier's checks. Reservations cannot be confirmed until full payment has been received.

Cancellation Policy
Once confirmed, all deposits are non-refundable. If you choose to cancel your trip with For The Story Vacations a written cancellation notice must be delivered via email to planning@forthestory.vacations with a confirmation of receipt from us no later than 61 days prior to departure. The following cancellation fees apply:

89 - 61 days prior to departure - 50% of remaining balance due
60 days - day of departure - 100% of remaining balance due

Once the trip has begun, no refund for any unused portion or part of the trip or services to be provided will be given. If you want to make any changes to your trip, or depart the trip early, such alteration or departure will be entirely at your own expense and liability.

If you do not show for the trip you will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total cost of the trip. If your flight, train, or other mode of transportation causes delay, or any other reason prevents you from beginning the tour you will be considered a no-show, and refunds of any kind will not be provided. For The Story Vacations encourages clients to pick up where they can in their itinerary after any delays, if possible.

Itinerary Changes
It may be necessary to rearrange certain activities, transfers, trains, etc., based on availability at time of booking. It is possible your final itinerary may differ from the outline presented at time of booking. For The Story Vacations will make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the itinerary as it has been published. However, we may, in our sole discretion, substitute services of similar quality for any services stated in the itinerary.

Change Fees
Date changes to existing reservations following full payment are considered a cancellation and rebooking. Name changes are not permitted. A name change is considered a cancellation and rebooking. A fee of $50 per person plus any supplier fees and price increases will be charged for all other changes. In some cases, supplier fees may be 100% of the services provided.

Travel Documents
Travel documents, including your itinerary, train tickets, activity tickets, hotel confirmations, and more, will be sent to you 30 days prior to your departure date. For The Story Vacations will not be held liable for any Passports and Visas which need to be obtained for entry into Europe.

Travel Insurance
For The Story Vacations strongly recommends you purchase travel insurance for your trip to Europe. Travel insurance is available through third-party travel insurance companies. Limits vary by user and policy purchased. For The Story Vacations does not sell insurance and does not insure the cost of the trip. No representation or description of travel insurance made by For The Story Vacations constitutes a binding assurance or promise about insurance.

Risks of Travel & Release
For The Story Vacations holds no responsibility and shall not be liable for the acts or omissions on the part of any other company not under our control, or any acts of God, unsafe conditions, terrorism, health hazards including pandemics, illness, weather, hazards, or contraction of or exposure to an infectious disease, bacteria or virus including COVID-19. We have no special knowledge of dangers during travel or at destinations. For information related to such dangers, we recommend going to the State Department travel website at www.travel.state.gov, click on "Find International travel Information" then click on "Country Information", and fill in the name of the destination country. For medical and health information, we recommend going to the Centers for Disease Control website at www.cdc.gov/travel, then click on "Destinations" and scroll to the name of the destination country.

YOU HEREBY EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL OF THESE RISKS AND DANGERS, AND YOU HEREBY EXPRESSLY AGREE TO FOREVER RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND HOLD FOR THE STORY VACATIONS, AND OUR AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, ASSOCIATES, AFFILIATED COMPANIES, GUIDES, GROUP LEADERS, AND SUBCONTRACTORS HARMLESS AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, ACTIONS, CAUSES OF ACTIONS, SUITS, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF ANY AND EVERY KIND AND NATURE WHATSOEVER WHICH YOU NOW HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREAFTER ARISE OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE TOUR OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY ACTIVITIES IN WHICH YOU PARTICIPATE.
